The Family:

We at Plumridge Cavaliers would like to welcome you to our web site.  We hope you enjoy the site, and hope you will come back often to visit.

Our family consists of several dogs, some of which live with us, and others who live with friends in co-ownerships.

Our first Cavalier was Emma (Ch. Rambler Emma Lyn, CGC) and we were lucky enough to be able to take her home in September of 1999.  We will always thank Joanne and Jim Nash of Rambler Dalmations and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for allowing us to add Emma to our household.  Emma finished her championship at just under two years of age, and has given us two beautiful litters.  Sadly, Emma was diagnosed with a grade 2 (out of 6) murmur when she was four years old.  We were happy as it did not seem to progress until the spring of 2007, and we lost her to mitral valve disease on September 4, 2007.  Once in every dog lovers life comes along a "heart" dog, one that is your soulmate, and she was Jo Ann's heart dog.  Emma is, and always will be, Jo Ann's favorite and best dog ever.  She will never be forgotten...Plumridge Cavaliers is the house that Emma built.

Next came Oliver (Ch. Momelva Take A Chance) in 2000.  He is from a lovely litter bred by our good friends Ed and Laureen Bernhardt of San Jose.  Oliver finished his championship at just over one year of age...quite remarkable!  We will always thank Oliver for bringing Ed and Laurie into our lives.  We were very happy to be able to return the favor recently by having Plumridge Momelva Angel Touched go to live with Laurie and Ed.  Della will have a wonderful, happy life with our friends and is beginning her career in the show ring.  Oliver is also now retired and living the life of leisure with our good friends James and Marsha Miller of Danville.

Rachel came next (Jovial Labor of Love) and she is named very appropriately!  Rachel is just a very sweet, happy little girl and we are happy to have her in our family.  She is a tricolor and a daughter from Oliver's first litter with Ch. Jovial Captivating Nature (Penny), a lovely tricolor who will always be loved by Kati Beran in Fresno.  We thank Kati for allowing us to have her here.

Eli (Ch. Plumridge Unforgettable) came next, and is living with our friends in Stanford, CA, Elizabeth and John Barry.  Eli is Emma's son by Ch. Turretbank Travis.  Eli recently finished his championship and we are all quite proud of this beautiful tricolor!  He is the first home bred champion from our kennel.  Eli is now also happily retired and living with friends in Stanford, CA.

Next came our first black and tan girl, Wendy (Downsbank Black Velvet at Plumridge).  Jo Ann flew "over the pond" to get her from a well known breeder of predominantly wholecolors in England.  She is a wonderful addition to our little crew.  Our friend Lyn Jones came along and brought back her sister, Hannah as well.  We are very happy with our "girls".

Grace came next (Plumridge Amazing Grace), and what a little charmer she is.  Grace has been seen in the show ring of late and is having a good time seeing her friends at the shows.

Next to be introduced in the show ring is Taffy (Plumridge Ruby Slippers), a daughter of Wendy and Ch. Turretbank Samson--the only ruby ever to win a Best In Show in this country.  A very lovely, sweet girl she is!  We have high hopes for this youngster.   Taffy recently earned her first 3 point "Major" win at the tender age of 8 1/2 months under Judge Fred Bassett.

Plumridge Cavaliers consists of Jo Ann as chief dog person, and husband Roger (who is always willing to help out and do whatever needs to be done).  Our dogs love their Dad, and can hardly wait to greet him when he comes home at night!
